The blue crewneck tee slit of Wunderwerk is made of 50% organic cotton and 50% Edelweiss modal. This mix gives the fabric a soft and smooth feel. The t-shirt has a straight fit, short sleeves, a round neck line , open slits on the bottom at the side and the frontside is shorter then the backside.
This simple t-shirt is not only comfortable but also stylish. The bright blue color will give your outfit that bit of extra. Wear it with black jeans. Either ankle boots or sneakers will fit perfectly, depends for which look you are going for. A dark blazer over the t-shirt and your ready to go.
Wunderwerk stands for the interaction of fashionable design, comfortable fit and high quality sustainable manufacture throughout the entire production and supply chain. Sustainability is one of the most important values of the label. Respect for human, nature and animals are paramount and is carried through the entire manufacturing process. Both founders are surf- and ocean lovers and therefore the label avoids ‘’plastics’’ in the collection as far as possible.
What makes organic cotton a better choice than conventional cotton? First of all, organic cotton doesn’t need chemical fertilizers and less water to grow. Secondly, when cotton is organically grown the land stays fertile for a much longer period of time than when conventional cotton is grown on that same field. Growing organic cotton has a positive effect on the lives, health and incomes of the farmers. And organic cotton is healthier for the wearer!
Lenzing modal®, is a more environmentally friendly substitute for conventional modal fabrics. The fabric is naturally soft on the skin and exceptionally ecological. The fiber is produced, using Edelweiss technology. Edelweiss stands for a "symbiotic" production process - wood pulp, the raw material, is produced at the same site as the Modal fiber itself. (The wood pulp is extracted from beechwood. The beech tree is quite unique and has grown in Europe for a very long time.) Thus production can be done while going easy on energy and other resources.
